Affiliate disclosure

GEARMATH is a free reference for film and video equipment. To keep it free, some links to retailers may be affiliate links. If you click one and then buy something, the retailer may pay GEARMATH a small commission. You pay the same price either way.

Which links are affiliate links

Retailer links appear in the Price comparison section of item pages and occasionally in guides. Any link that is an affiliate link is labelled Affiliate next to the retailer name and carries rel="sponsored". Links without that label are plain links and earn us nothing. Manufacturer links, rental house links and source links are never affiliate links.

What commissions don't change

Specifications, prices, day rates, guide verdicts and the order of items are never influenced by commissions. We list a retailer because it sells the product, not because it pays us, and the Price comparison list is ordered by your region and by price, not by commission.

Cookies set by retailers

When you follow an affiliate link, the retailer or its affiliate network (for example Awin, Impact, CJ, Rakuten or Amazon Associates) may set a cookie in your browser so it can credit the sale to GEARMATH. Those cookies are set by them, under their own privacy policies, not by GEARMATH. See our Privacy policy for what GEARMATH itself collects.
